Our staff have taken part in such projects like Australia's largest induced collapse at the former BHP Newcastle site, which involved the demolition of several large steel structures using a systematic approach involving no explosives.
Boss Demolition staff have also managed further sites such as the Gazebo Hotel refurbishment in Sydney which involved internal and external demolition, Cessnock Hospital refurbishment and the Gosford Hospital upgrade which involved the demolition of a four story building with one below ground level and three levels above ground.
What we do
Boss Demolition provides demolition, asbestos removal and site remediation services throughout Australia. We utilise a systematic approach which allows for repeat controlled demolition of structures without the use of explosive devices.
Boss Demolition conforms to the following codes and general practices when conducting all demolition work-
* Work to conform to AS2601 "The Demolition of Structures"
* Code of practices for the demolition by earthmoving machinery (December, 1988)
* Occupational Health and Safety Regulations (2001)
* Occupational Health and Safety Act (2000)
* Provision of a fully qualified and competent foreperson on site at all times.
* The use of Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) forms.
Boss currently holds an unrestricted demolition license and a friable asbestos removal license, so there is never any need to be concerned about the quality or standard of Boss Demolition projects.

Past Projects
The total disassembly of the Demon roller coaster was completed within a 12 day time frame and was completed to meet the requirements of WorkCover NSW.
Safety factors of 50% for demolition and 30% for tandem lifts were incorporated in a lift study before commencement.
The roller coaster was dismantled in a "piece meal" fashion, using tandem booms and multiple excavators. Once the roller coaster was entirely moved from site all remaining footings were demolished leaving the site ready for re-development.

Gazebo Hotel | Internal and External Demolition
Existing structures were removed to make way for the development of residential apartments.
Work was able to be conducted using mini excavators on various levels of the hotel using back-propping and support structures to enable the efficient removal of slabs and walls from the site.
A strategic traffic management plan was utilised due to the location of the hotel which was right in the heart of Elizabeth Bay. The traffic management plan minimised the impact of trucks and machinery movement on traffic flow.
