We are a Hobby Rabbitry/Farm located in Southern Maryland (Indian Head MD 20640). We raise Holland Lops, Netherland Dwarfs & English Lops. And a few other other breeds go in and out sometimes. We have been raising rabbit's for five years. We started in 2008 with a pair of mixed breeds. I then learned about lionheads and Blue Eyed Whites! Also found out there were shows. I just had to do it.
We have a large Blue eyed white project. We focus on trying to have our blue eyed whites compete with torts. Along with our blue eyed whites, we have other rare color's, including Chocolates, Oranges, harliquins and Tri-Color's. We've been working alot harder on our BEW's. I've come along way from when i've started and still not finished. We started English lops because i've always loved those EAR's !!
Our rabbit's are housed in a barn, sheltered from the elements. We run a closed rabbitry, we don't allow visit's unless you are coming to pick up, or pick out your bunny(providing you have a few to choose from). We keep our number's low to ensure we are able to provide attention to each rabbit. After all, these guys are our pets. We do not make a profit, all money made goes back into supplies and or purchasing food or other rabbit's to improve our lines. Along with the rabbit's, we have three dogs, four cats, chickens, and geese. All our animals are our pet's. We love each one. We know each rabbit by name. Our rabbit's are handled from birth buy ourselves and my children to insure they truly are child friendly.
I've been asked, YES all the picture's of the rabbit's are done by myself. We update very often, so please make sure to check back here! Nursery pages are updated almost WEEKLY as long as their are babies to picture! Ask us anything rabbit related. We'll be glad to answer any questions you may have about rabbit's. Even after you've found your new friend we are still here to help you.

These are our English Lops. We only keep a few due to their large size. We raise these guys as a side project. We mainly have litter's in the Spring and Summer and only about 2-4 litter's in that time frame.

This breed is the original Lop. These rabbits are longer and of a more slender build than their other Lop cousins and they are most noted by their characteristically long lop ears, which can average 22 inches, the largest of any rabbit breed, which reach the end of their growth after 6 months of age. Male English Lops are known to have a longer ear measurement due to a wider head, whereas females are finer and have a narrower skull. The two main varieties of English Lop are solid or self colors and broken colors (colors broken by white) and within this, they can come in several different colours, including Black, fawn, white, golden fawn, sooty fawn, and are short-haired.
It is during the first 16 weeks of an English Lop's life that its ears undergo its most rapid growth, and for this period, theirs ears will require special care and attention. Although a baby English Lop is usually born with normal-sized ears, for a month, each week the ears' size will double. At about four weeks old, the ears will be longer than the English Lop's body and the rabbits will be prone to accidents or injuries, such as tripping over their ears, or accidentally scratching them frequently, and more care should be given during this initial stage.

*We do not ship. However, i will transport to a show i am attending, free of charge. Also i will meet you at a location we agree on, i do require a gas fee for a meet. I cannot travel more than an hour from my location.
*When picking up your rabbit please bring a carrier or box to put him/her in for your trip home.
*All Rabbit's sold will come with pedigree, unless sold as a pet, and a small baggy of food.
*We have first pick to any/all litter's born here. Rabbitries we deal with have second choice.
*We do not except Deposit/payment for a kit(Baby Rabbit) Before the age of 4 weeks. Netherland Dwarfs and some hollands are hard to raise as they carry a dwarf gene. If a baby is born that has inherited the gene from BOTH parents, it is lethal. Thus is why we don't take payment early.
*Any veterinary fees are responsibility of the buyer. No health guarantees after they leave. They are sold healthy to the best of my knowlege.
*Any rabbit's sold as a pet, the buyer has to sign a Pet Policy. And no pedigree will be given.
*A 50% nonrefundable deposit is required to hold a rabbit. Accepted through paypal, cash, and or money order. Checks accepted for returning clients only. The rest is due upon pick up in cash.
*We will HOLD a Rabbit(s) with a depsoit for a time frame set up indavidually. If the rabbit(s) are not picked up and arrangement's are not made for another pick up date, the rabbit(s) will be placed back up for sale and no refund will be given.
*We will hold a rabbit(s) for Holidays and Birthday's given we have space at the time. HOWEVER, we do not promote giving Rabbits as Gifts. Full Payment will be required through paypal.
*A rabbit sold as show quality is not guaranteed to win on the table.
*Rabbit's sold as brood or produced/sired a litter are not guaranteed to produce again. I do not know how they will act in a new enviroment.
*We reserve the right to cancel a sale at any time. If the sale is canceled by Blue Sapphire Rabbitry any deposit will be returned in full to the buyer. If, however, the sale is canceled by the buyer any deposit will be retained by the seller.
*Our Rabbit's are always welcome home! If for any reason you cannot keep your rabbit purchased from us we will take him/her back. However we will not refund any money. We will relocated him/her to a new home. We have also done some rescue
