We hope you enjoy the tracks provided. Five of them are from our E.P. we recorded prior to playing three shows in Chicago, IL in April of 2009. A couple others are live recordings from various venues.
Blue Sacrifice started as an idea between father and son. Lynn Long the father and Thomas Long the son. The idea was to create a blues band and play the music we both love and also to play it together. Thomas Long is the young, up and coming guitar player of Blue Sacrifice. His playing is way beyond his years. Weened on blues, classic rock and classic country he is at home playing with fire and conviction. We recruited bassist Steve Schmitt who is a veteran musician and has played on the road and the local club scene for years. Next up was Cousin Dave Stayton. With his strong and soulful voice, equally strong harp playing along with his love of the blues, Cousin Dave was a perfect fit. Davy The Scotsman Phillips was brought in to play second guitar. Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland via San Francisco he landed in Cincinnati, Ohio and has played for many years with alot of great players and is a great player himself. Lynn Long is the drummer and foundation of Blue Sacrifice. Always trying to just lay down the groove and make it all feel good. Together these are the five elements that make up Blue Sacrifice each different but yet all possess the love of the blues.
