Droid users, if you felt your smart devices were lacking some Wix love, you definitely want to check out the new “Wix Pics” app for Android!
This sweet app lets you upload photos directly from your mobile to your Wix account. You can choose to upload existing photos from your gallery or take new ones. Your Android and your Wix site have never been closer (unless, of course, you have a free mobile website with Wix).
And that’s not all! If you want to do some editing work on the photos before uploading them, you can add saturation and hue effects or rotate them. Yippee!
With “Wix Pics”, you can actually manage your photos by creating folders and easily sorting your pics according to different themes.
Please keep in mind that this is the app’s very first version, so feel free to send us your feedback and comments.

The option to add folders is unfortunately not working so well on my android. The folder never seems to be created.
Hi Laura!
In order to help you we need some additional information, Can you please tell us which device you’re using ? and more specifically:
1. Manufacturer & Model: for instance – Manufacturer: Samsung, Model: Galaxy S2.
2. Firmware version (Android version): for instance – 2.2, 2.3.4, 4.0.3, etc. This can be determined by going to the phone/tablet’s settings -> About phone -> Android Version (or Firmware version).
Additional recommendations to users with problems such as uploaded-pictures-are-not-visible and new-folders-are-not-visible:
1. The application has a “Refresh button” – please use it. This button causes the app to ask again for all the data from the server.
2. Try quitting the application and restart it. Since going to the phone’s home-screen does NOT ensure that the app is closed, the way to make sure it does is:
open the app, press the phone’s Settings button, press the “Exit” button which appears – then re-launch the app.
3. Make sure that you’re using the latest version of the app. In your phone, go to ‘Android Market’ >> press the Settings button>> select “My apps” and check for updates.
4. Use WiFi, as opposed to 3G data connection – WiFi is usually much faster, and if your 3G data connection is slow enough, the application may time-out.
So far as i got it, this app lets you upload photos directly from your mobile to your Wix account? Can you provide more detailed information on how to create folders to sort out photos in it?
Thanks.
