3 Photography Contests You Should Enter
Photographers, here’s your chance to win awesome prizes and exhibit your work on a global scale. If you’re a student interested in photography, Google is offering you a one-time chance to showcase your work at the Saatchi gallery in London. Submit up to 8 photos under these categories. The Google+ Photography Contest started on November 10 and will close on January 30 so hurry up and sign up quickly!
The grand winner will on a photography trip, to a destination of their choice, accompanied by a professional photography coach. There are also additional prizes for the top 100 applicants.
The Annual National Geographic Photo Contest
The Annual National Geographic Photo Contest is considered one of the most prestigious photography contests where the general public is allowed to enter. It offers not only extremely attractive prizes, but also the well-respected quality stamp of the National Geographic brand.
Submitted photographs are divided into three categories: Nature, People, Places. A team of professional judges then selects one winner for each category, and a final winner out of those three. The winners of each category win a prize of $2,500 and get their photographs published in the National Geographic magazine. The grand winner wins a total of $10,000, as well as a trip to the National Geographic HQ in Washington to participate in a special photography seminar!

Photographers from around the world are invited to submit their work to the contest. Contestants are welcome to submit as many photographs as they like, but there is a small entrance fee to pay for each submission. The photographs must be genuine, not digitally-produced. As always, it is advised to go over the rules before entering the contest.
The International Street Photography Award
Wanna win a solo exhibition, £2,000 cash and a trip to London? (hint: rhetorical question). Enter the London Street Photography Contest. All you have to do is submit 5-8 photos taken within the last ten years, that adhere to the contest’s definition of street photography. Submissions will be received until January 5, 2012. See last year’s finalists’ portfolios for inspiration.
