Introducing the Wix SEO Clinic
Welcome to the Wix SEO Clinic. We take real users’ Flash websites made with Wix and improve their search-ability in Google.
This post takes a look at the Wix websites of 3 wedding photographers. Each of these snazzy Flash websites sparkles with professional appeal. Each site is entirely unique, with customized logos and samples of work. In short – the websites look terrific.
But who is looking? Like most small businesses, these professionals relied heavily on word-of-mouth advertising to generate leads. This is where SEO comes in.
The Wix SEO Clinic
Each site had a full check-up by the Wix SEO Team. Here’s what the “Wix SEO doctors” took down:
- Patient History: We examined the history of these sites, and what their current SEO tactics were bringing them in terms of traffic. Each site’s PageRank, amount of backlinks and keyword optimization were the benchmarks used.
- Keyword Research: Using the Google AdWords Keyword Tool, we researched what the best keywords would be for each site to be targeting. We considered the amount of users searching for each keyword, and the level of competition.
- Diagnosis: Precise locations on each website were flagged as opportunities in which to improve the site’s SEO, and keyword targeting.
- Treatment: The owners of each website were given recommendations on improving their site’s SEO. Both on-page and off-site actions were taken.
- Follow-Up: After the recommended changes were implemented, we tracked the changes in site traffic with Google Analytics. We also noted each site’s position in Google for the targeted keywords.
