The Sweet Pea Pageants is a Non-Glitz pageant. Emphasis is placed on natural beauty only. No experience necessary, anyone may enter. This is a great beginner pageant.
Becoming involved in this pageant can be both a fun and rewarding experience. The Sweet Pea Natural Beauty Pageant prides itself on being a fairly-run pageant where ANYONE can win without spending a fortune.
First of all we hope you have FUN! You will meet a lot of new people and will make a lot of new friends.
We would personally like to invite you and your family to share wonderful and memorable times with us. We promise to bring you a well organized, professionally-run pageant that is focussed on fairness and having fun! Sweet Pea Pageants gives every contestant a chance to shine on stage.
The idea is to come out for fun and meet friends, while increasing your confidence and developing an outgoing personality.
slide 4 RULES & REGULATIONS
1.Contestants must conduct themselves in a proper manner and portray high moral standards.
2.Contestants must agree to a waiver agreement and release of liability forms, complete and submit the application.
3.Rudeness toward the judges, other contestants, and/or pageant coordinators by contestants or contestants' parents will result in disqualification.
4.Be sure to read all of the rules and regulations and be sure that you understand everything. If you do not understand something please call and ask.
5.All contestants will be judged individually with no comparison to other contestants. Each contestant will be competing only against herself and will receive a score in each part of the competition.
6.All judges decisions are final. Judges notes and score sheets will not be disclosed.
7.These rules are not negotiable.
8.Contestants must come prepared with all items that they will need.
9.You must be on time for every section. Points will be subtracted from your score for lateness.

10.The contestant must be the age specified in each category they are registered for, by the date of the pageant.
11.Contestants must provide a photo taken within the 6 months prior to pageant date to be considered. Pro photos are not required. No retouching of photos.
12.Only one parent or chaperone will be allowed backstage per contestant.
13.Any contestant or parent who violates any of the above rules and regulations will be disqualified without refund of entry registration. Fraudulent information on registration forms also warrants immediate disqualification.
14.All contestants are responsible for their own hair and make-up.
15.Ages 0-5: Clear gloss and light blush is allowed. Points will be deducted from your scores for heavy make-up. Ages 6-8: Light blush, powder, mascara and lip gloss is allowed BUT not necessary. Keep it fresh and clean. Ages 10+: Your make-up should give you a natural, beautiful, flawless look.

17.Bad sportsmanship of any kind is grounds for dismissal without refund.
18.Photos taken at the pageant and names of contestants may be used for advertising purposes.
19.No refunds issued unless cancellation or rescheduling of the pageant.
20.You are responsible for your own belongings. The directors, pageant assistants, and volunteers are not liable for any lost or stolen items, injuries/accidents.
21.Dressing area will be available to contestants and chaperones only.
22.An auditor will be assigned for score tabulations.
23. No Judges will be associated with anyone participating in the pageant.
24.No contestant or chaperone or audience members are permitted near the judging table at any time. Nor are they to approach the judges with or without regard to the pageant.
25. Always ask the Director or Coordinator if you have any questions or concerns.

26.Sweet Pea Pageants and the Venue will not be held responsible for any accident, injury or loss, prior to, during and/or after the pageant.
27.All contestants have worked very hard to do what they do and they all deserve to be applauded for that! We cheer for everyone! No one should ever feel that they do not belong!
28.If you have two children that you would like to enter in the Pageant, but you don't want them to have to compete in the same category, you may move one up to the next age group, but you can NOT move her down.
29. Any persons found to be speaking badly of the pageant, contestants, Directors, Judges and/or staff in any way - INCLUDING gossiping, internet posts, facebook comments or anything the directors find offensive or negative; will be disqualified from this pageant with no refunds and will not be allowed to participate in ANY future pageants or events!
This is a fun and positive experience for everyone involved - let's keep it that way!
slide 9 The Director has the right to split a Division if too many participants, or combine if not enough - as the directors see fit.
Viewing Pageant: $7 per adult and $3 per child (under 3 free). (Participant receives 1 free Chaperone backstage pass). Audience tickets include door prize ticket. Debit payments for reserved tickets is available.
Pageant will consist of 3 main sections and optionals: 1. Casual/Intriduction 2.Outfit Of Choice - Hearts Theme 3. Beauty wear. (gown or party dress)
Photogenic Photos: Contestants may submit one photo with their entry form and receive points towards this section of the pageant.
Incomplete forms will NOT be accepted or registered.
NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION WILL BE PERMITTED.
1.Sections will run back-to-back, with crowning at the conclusion of the pageant.
2. All decisions and awards are final.
3.Sorry, NO REFUNDS - Some carry overs allowed at the discretion of the director or producer.
5.Contestants must be present and registered when the pageant starts.
6.A Chaperone must be 19 years or older
Page 11 Staging Procedures
3 years and over ~ Contestants will line up in a group line-up, then an individual introduction by the emcee, they will walk to the stage markers - as outlined in your welcome package staging map.
Don't worry if you're shy ~ we will make you feel special on our stage. Don't worry about missing teeth, braces or glasses in any age division. This is all about you being yourself and we know you're a winner just the way you are!

Page 12 VENUE RULES
For the Parent/Chaperone to Follow
-Only Parent/Chaperone will be allowed in holding/dressing room (they must be wearing their Chaperone wrist band or they will be denied entry).
-No smoking inside or near doorways.
-No food or beverages backstage.
-No foul language.
Rules for the Contestants to Follow
-No running or yelling inside or holding/dressing room.
-No chewing gum allowed.
-No fighting.
-No bad sportsmanship of any kind
Rules for the Spectators
-No entry to the holding/dressing room. You must wear a chaperone wrist band to gain entry.
-If you need to get a message to a contestant there will be someone at the dressing room to leave a message with or they will get the person for you.

Most Photogenic Pictures may be in colour or black & white. Judging is based on facial beauty, personality, overall appeal, & clarity.
Best Dressed Contestants judged on overall attire.
Model Contestants judged on the style and stage presence.
Best Personality Overall conduct during the pageant, stage presence and confidence.
