In it's 35 years of existence, the Association of Black Harvard Women has served the vivacious black women who comprise its membership by fostering sisterhood, tackling social and political issues uniquely pertinent to black women worldwide, and serving as a catalyst for change both on and beyond Harvard University's campus. Decades after its inception, the Association of Black Harvard Women, or ABHW as it is endearingly called on campus, works to carry out its steadfast mission and serve its membership as a "catalyst in bringing Black women of Harvard University's campus together for academic, cultural, political and social purposes." Consisting of a membership of over 100 dynamic Harvard undergraduates, ABHW is comprised of women from varied backgrounds possessing varied interests, all united under the common goals of promoting sisterhood and enacting change in our community.
We thank you for visiting our new and improved website, revamped with new features to make the site more useful and interactive. Under Recent Events, you can catch up on our most recent meetings, social gatherings, and projects through event summaries. Under Contact Us, you can post comments, feedback, or questions regarding ABHW's events or the organization as a whole. Under Gallery, you can browse through photos of our members at our various programming events, and under Store, you can purchase ABHW merchandise such as T-shirts, tote bags, and even organizational membership. We also have retained some key aspects of our former website, such as our About page with information on our history, board members, and various initiatives of the organization, as well as our Calendar of events. Our motivation for the new website was to cater more to the members, alumnae, and friends of ABHW who are physically unable to attend various ABHW functions, as a way to extend ABHW beyond its meetings and events. Feel free to browse through the site. We hope you enjoy your visit, and make sure to come back soon!

ABHW Action Committee
The ABHW Action Committee (AAC) is a coalition of Black Harvard women created to raise awareness and facilitate activism toward issues that directly affect Blacks, women, and most often, Black women. We work to achieve this goal through Outreach, Teach-ins, and keeping the ABHW membership up-to-date on the opportunities for activism available on and off-campus. The AAC keeps ABHW abreast of pertinent political and social happenings in the women and black communities by facilitating general meetings, events, and forums that speak to the action-related concerns and needs of the organization.
