The House of United Nations is here. They are bold. They risk everything-and I mean everything-with every poem. They are organized, and willing to promote their craft and the cause of poetry at the drop of a hat (even a fedora). They work with youth, regardless of perceived social standing, race or religion. They despise inequality at every turn. They inspire. They produce. They eat. They let people I love realize there is value in themselves. They don't judge. They keep it very, very real. If love were a terrorist ideal, they would be stone cold terrorists. And I love every one of them.

But who the f#ck knows? That could be complete bull sh*t. It could be about aliens and masturbation. Either way a person should be slightly twisted when reading this godforsaken tale about the "wicked ways" of man and the light of truth that trickles in past the horrors of living.

History of Northeast Nebraskan Gypsy Freakshows:
In the early to mid deuce-double-otts, live music and performance poetry gatherings would descend in the night, renting out small venues in small towns, get noisy, twisted, and vanish by morn. These be-ins of sorts, dubbed 'Gypsy Freakshows,' have been revived by the Northeast Nebraskan Pseudo Poseur creative co-op. Our collaborative effort to blast our local culture out into the 'verse has expanded to books, visual art, websites, and the Nebby, all showcasing Northeast Nebraskan talent. Come participate. On Saturday, March three, Northeast Nebraskan creative co-op Pseudo Poseur Productions points their gypsy caravan O-ward. Live entertainment filling the evening of the open house to The Sandbox's March featured artist Brian Finn.
The Sandbox is a creative space in midtown Omaha giving a home to diverse forms of artistic expression, hosting everything from poetry readings to punk rock. The Sandbox is expanding its visual art, as well. As a collaborative of creative expression, The Sandbox needs support from its arts community. Light The Sandbox.
Bring an old lamp to light art with, even a cheap new one, working bulb included, and receive a free sharpie line art original by Brian Finn, plus free entertainment after nine.
