Information Package for the Participants
Accomodation:
We will stay at a hotel in Dalyan. Hotel is called SunFace DalyanHotel. It is located in the center of the Dalyan and it is 250 m from the Dalyan canals. There is a swimming pool, restaurant, bar, WiFi connection, nargile facility, badmington court and dart facility in the hotel.
Food:
Breakfast and diner will be served in the hotels reatsurant as open-buffet, all you can eat Lunch will be served as BBQ, sandwiches, grilled meat according to the place where the activity occurs.
Parties:
There will be some concept parties at some different places. There will be an international evening, CANTUS, Turkish night, beach parties etc. We will also go to a big night club in Marmaris.
Activities:
Blue Cruises: One will take place in Ölüdeniz, Fethiye. We will discover the caves, Butterfly Valley, St.Nicholas, several bays, waterfalls, beaches on small islands lwhich are located on Aegean coast. The other one will take place in Göcek. Göcek is famous for its unique islands. There are 12 islands to discover! Jump onto the sea from the boat! Enjoy it!
Paragliding: There is a famous place to do paragliding in Fethiye. After a 40-minutes jeep journey, we will reach the top of the mountain and fly from there! Necessary equipment will be provided. There will be Professional paragliding pilots. We will do it with them so no background information and experience is needed.You dont have to control the parachute because youre flying the profeesional pilot, just relax and enjoy the breath taking view over the Aegean Sea!
Scuba Diving: It will take place in Fethiye as well. We will be on a boat with the Professional diving guides. They will give you the necessary information and equipment so again no prior experience or information is needed. Dive and discover the most colourful under water world!
Rafting: This activity will take place in Dalaman, on Dalaman River. Despite the weather is hot, the water will be cold! Necessary equipment and information will be provided there.
Canyoning: It will take place in Saklkent, Fethiye. It is one of the biggest canyons in Europe and 18 km long and about 1000m in depth. Dont be afraid, there are some places to relax and enjoy the view. At the end of the canyon, there is waterfall and a small lake, we can swim there after canyoning! We will also see the ancient Roman city called Tlos there.
Trekking: It will take a place close to our accomodation. We climb, jump, run through the hills, lakes to reach Toparlar elalesi ( Toparlar Waterfall).
The Places Where the Event Takes Place:
Dalyan:
We will accomodate there. It is a town in Muğgla Province located between the well-known districts of Marmaris and Fethiye on the south-west coast of Turkey. The town is an independent municipality, within the administrative district of Ortaca. Life in Dalyan revolves around the Dalyan Çay River which flows past the town. The boats that ply up and down the river, navigating the maze of reeds, are the preferred means of transport to all the local sites. Above the river's sheer cliffs are the weathered façades of Lycian tombs cut from rock, circa 400 BC. The ruins of the ancient trading city of Kaunos are a short boat trip across the river. The south of Dalyan on the Mediterranean coast, lies ztuzu Beach, near the village of the same name is a popular area for sunbathing and swimming. Visitors should be aware of the wooden stakes in the beach to mark nesting sites. The road route is particularly scenic, offering views of Sülüngür Lake. Iztuzu, Dalyan's turtle beach, was voted the best beach in the world in 1995.
Fethiye:
Some of the activities will take place there. It is a city and district of Mugğla Province in the Aegean region of Turkey with about 68,000 inhabitants (2008). Modern day Fethiye is located on the site of the ancient city of Telmessos, the ruins of which can be seen in the city, e.g. the Hellenistic theatre by the main quay.
Marmaris:
It is a port city and a tourist destination on the Mediterranean coast, located in southwest Turkey, in the Mugğla Province. Marmaris still retains its charm due to the exceptional natural beauty of its location. The town's population is 28,660 (2000). Marmaris' nightlife rivals anything on the Turkish coast. It is also a major centre for sailing, possessing two major and several smaller marinas. It is a popular wintering location for hundreds of cruising boaters. There are regular ferry services to the Greek island of Rhodes, and large cruise ships call at the port.
Dont Forget to Bring:
- Be sure that your weight is between 40 kg and 100 kg. It is a specification for the paragliding and you are healhty, crazy, brave and adventureuos enough to do all these activities:)
- Passport
- Insurance
- Some pocket Money
- Medicine (something specific that you have to take and you are not sure you can find it here)
- Light clothes, but also warm clothes, during the beach parties at late night, it can be cool
- Sunblock with high protection degree, hat, sunglasses, swimsuit, flip-flops and running shoes for the paragliding, trekking and sandals for canyoning
- A recipe of traditional food from your country and at least a bottle of some typical drink from your country for the international party. You can also bring some traditional songs, clothes, a slide show to present your country:)
- Musical instrument if you play one:)
- Things that you think is funny, your enthusiasm, good mood and BEST Spirit!
