You have found this obscure and little known site, hidden away in the bowels of the great cornucopia that is the Internet.
Lucent pertains to light and a scribe is one who writes. Hence " Writing with light" which is the old Latin origin of the word "Photography."
Why does the site exist? Why spend the time and eyestrain to construct this labor of love? Because I can, of course. And it is just that, a labor of love, which prompts me to think about creative things.
I am glad you have found the site. I will try to update it from time to time, so return when you may.
About The Site
Your humble photographer ( Photo Scribe? ) lives in the interior of British Columbia. There he has many opportunities to capture the ever-changing panorama of nature which the fortunate denizens of the area enjoy. The B.C. Tourist Bureau advertises the province as " The Best Place On Earth." Who are we to contradict?
Many of the images were taken with my trusty and indefatigable Pentaxes. I then scanned them into digital using an Ebson slide scanner.
The later images were captured with an Olympus camera. This was my first digital, which I have since given away, so the technical specs eacape me.
My next upgrade was a Fugifilm S5000, which I have used to take most of the Eurpean shots.
My current favorite is a lean and mean Nikon Coolpix. It is the top of the Coolpix line, and beside giving me 12 MP, gives the ability to record in 16:9 ratio. This is great for slides shown on a flat-screen TV, as it conforms to that format. I will post more of these, as time goes by.
