Africa Africa
Christ Awakening for Mission Worldwide was born in 2007 out of a desire to link the Church in Africa with the Church in North America, in an expression of unity, to share each other’s strengths, and shore up each other in areas of need. How did the Church grow so rapidly in Africa without watering down the Gospel? How can the North American Church grow exponentially by adapting the New Testament methods the Africans practice?
Christ Awakening for Mission Worldwide encourages African leaders to minister in North America, and sends North Americans to Africa, to further these relationships and build up the Church on both continents. A Christ Awakening for Mission Worldwide team travelled to Rwanda summer 2009 to serve and learn from the Church.
The Rev. Elliot Winks, in 2010, spearheaded a Christ Awakening for Mission Worldwide effort to help recruit North Americans for Mission Africa—evangelistic outreach events throughout the African continent in concert with the Lausanne Convention of Capetown 2010. The Rev. William Beasley and Rev. Dr. Lon Allison led a team from Canada and the U.S. to Musanze, Rwanda July 2010 to participate in a Mission Africa evangelistic outreach.
Early in 2011, Bishop Nathan Nasatura from Butare, Rwanda, travelled to the Chicago region to minister to the Church. Later, in July 2010, the Rev. William Beasley led a
team to Butare, Rwanda, to participate in a regional evangelistic outreach. They also visited Kenya.
Plans are underway for summer 2012 to bring North American teams again to Rwanda. Plans for travel to Nigeria are on hold until some of the turmoil there settles. Please join us in praying for the people of Nigeria!

The Midwest Anglican Awakening, Sunday morning September 27, 2007, was held at Edman Chapel in Wheaton, Illinois, and launched the awakening movement. Nigerian Archbishop Peter Akinola preached, challenging the over 2000 worshipers gathered for the unity for mission event. He called the listeners to stand firmly for the gospel to transform the culture rather than let the culture transform the church. In uniting together for mission and evangelism, believers should work together in a spirit of forgiveness and love. Before the birth of the Anglican Church in North America, the province formed in 2009 that united Anglicans from diverse Anglican affiliations, the Midwest Anglican Awakening gathered Anglicans from the Midwest from multiple jurisdictions to build toward a greater unity.
The following year, on a snowy midweek evening, December 3, 2008, Christ Awakening for Mission Worldwide sponsored a worship service held in the facilities of the Evangelical Free Church of Wheaton, to gather Anglican leaders from across the continent to sign GAFCONs Jerusalem Declaration.

Montreal Montreal
A Christ Awakening for Mission Worldwide team gathered in Montreal, October 1-3 of 2010 to bring together the Church for a time of teaching, worship and healing.
The Isaiah 40 Foundation hosted the event held in the facilities of an Assemblies of God church. The Rev. William Beasley opened the first session with a teaching from John 17:23, pointing out how central the unity of believers is to evangelism. Unity is about mission. The church united is a flaming beacon of witness to the world.
Rev. Alex and Tamara Cameron, Canadians ministering in Vermont, led the multi-lingual team of musicians. Diverse in language (the conference was held in French, Spanish and English) and church background (33 churches and at least half as many denominations were represented), those gathered worshiped as one. And not the artificial, ignore-our-differences-and-sing-kumbaya unity. The unity taught and experienced is that which comes from submission together to Jesus.
Also teaching were, Bishop Charlie Masters from Eastern Canada, Bishop Bill Murdoch from New England, and Vina Sweetman, founder of Isaiah 40. They reminded us that the church multiplies not where there is a really good program of evangelism, but where the living presence of Christ abides. They prayed that the Holy Spirit would fill and empower Gods people to live in unity and to love the world so that all people would know the transforming love and power of Jesus Christ.

New England New England
November 13-15, 2008, Christ Awakening for Mission Worldwide gathered together Canadian and U.S. jurisdictional leaders of the Anglican expression of the faith in North America for an Anglican Awakening. People came from all over New England to attend the event hosted by Bishop Bill Murdoch, of All Saints Anglican Church and Ministry Center in Amesbury, Massachusetts.
Unity for mission was the aim. The following summer the various Anglican jurisdictional leaders that had attended the Awakenings in Ohio and New England, united to form the Anglican Church in North America.
Three years later, September 17-18, 2011, in the same location, and under the auspices of Greenhouse Regional Church Movement, CAMW director, the Rev. William Beasley, again taught All Saints Anglican Church, the cathedral for New England now. Anglican 1000 also sponsored the event. Anglican 1000 director, Rev. David Roseberry, taught on Church Planting, and Canon

Ohio Ohio
October 21-23, 2008, Christ Awakening for Mission Worldwide held an Anglican Awakening at St. Luke's Anglican Church in Akron, OH. Clergy and laity from the Great Lakes region gathered for teaching on evangelism and mission based on Jesus’ call of his disciples to work together and to become fishers of men.
Andy Piercy, renowned producer and composer, formally of Holy Trinity Brompton, UK, led the worship. Co-sponsored by Bishop Roger Ames and Canon Doc Loomis (now Bishop), the conference brought together the lead bishops from Common Cause, helping in the establishment of the Anglican Church in North America.

Vancouver Vancouver
In March 2008, inspired by the fruit of the Midwest Anglican Awakening in Wheaton, IL, a Christ Awakening for Mission Worldwide team traveled to Vancouver, British Columbia, to unite with Anglican leaders from across Western Canada for worship and mission.
The following year, March 20-22, 2009, the Rev. Ed Hird, rector of St. Simons Church in North Vancouver, invited the Rev. William Beasley and the Rev. Gabe Garcia, members of the Christ Awakening for Mission Worldwide team back to Vancouver to lead an ecumenical renewal mission. Artists created fabric banners to proclaim the evangelistic theme: Catching Fish in the 21st Century.
Again in 2010, banners captured the Renewal Mission & Christ Awakening for Mission Worldwides theme: Fanning into Flame Gods Glory. Held at Harvest City Church from March 5-7, the week after the closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, the event featured 4 different dynamic speakers.
