Bernadotte Bridge...
is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The restoration project is currently being reviewed by Historic Bridges and the Historic Bridge Foundation. Landmarks Illinois, the statewide preservation advocacy organization, included the bridge on its annual Ten Most Endangered Historic Places in the state in 2008.
