Grade 5/6 students enjoyed a full day excursion to the Melbourne Museum on Monday. All students participated in an interactive education session in the Bunjilaka Exhibition. Here students explored iconic aborigianl artifacts, learnt about the many languages of the aboriginal people, painting techniques and ceremonial funerals. Anthony, the education officer officer was very impressed with the level of questioning and enthusiasm shown by our students.

Problem Solving
using the interactive whiteboard always mukes problem solving fun!
A favourite amongst the group...Rush Hour requires the students to get out of a traffic jam by manipulating vehicles in a dead locked grid.
Each Friday, students are involved in rotational maths activities. A series of nine mini-lessons are structured around the math domain. Students are required to apply their knowledge to solve a series of problems.
Each day at 12:30pm students take a fruit break to help keep them focussed and ready to learn.
Each Friday fruit is provided for every student at Bell PS. So far the nectarines have been a great hit!
When Daniel says hit, you catch the ball. When Daniel says catch, you hit it away.
Students work together to balance cooperatively.
The whole group working together to create a balance display.
Working together, back to back, students had to try and stand up. It's harder than what you think!
These two make it look very easy!
This weeks Kidskills Sessions have been based on Strength.
Chalk Images
Today the Seniors enjoyed making Indigenous images on the ground with chalk using both the Central Australian dot painting style and the Victorian line style.

We have all had a fabulous time and each of the students have had to face a number of challenges and even fears!!
We have been busy on the 200mt flying fox...that goes straight over a huge dam!! Mountain biking has been fun and the kids think that it is "sick" because it is so off road.
The ropes course has been a great hit along with the initiatives course where we had to carry all the kids through a huge spider web.
The open area and fabulous fresh air has really opened up our appetites and the kids are eating more than ever.
One more round of rotations to go...the trampolines have been a great hit!!
Lots of photos to come...
