Beeraahaar Sweet Combination is a multi-cultural traditional Caribbean Carnival Masquerade band specialising in the development of Art and Design within diverse communities.
Our main focus is to teach skills and techniques of costume and Mas making, mastered from years of experience to youth , children and through inter generational workshops. We have performed in Nottinghill Carnivals portraying a mela of cultures and colours in the exotic Caribbean.
Performances have been in and around the UK, northern Island, The Middle East and the Caribbean.
We have developed our specialised art form anad have passed on skills to groups from Islington, Haringey, Slough,Oxford, Bristol,Kingston Surrey, Derry City Council, and in the community of Kingston, Surrey and Hackney Borough.
International Performances - Qutar, Doha and Guyana - teaching Carnival Arts to people from Switzerland, France, Guyana and Martinique. Other performances include: The Millieum Dome, The Mall- The Queen's Golden Jubilee - The Queenns' Mother 100th Birthday celebration at Horse Guards Parade - UK Carnival Roadshows include: Spalding Carnival/Goodwood Park/ Margate/Reading/Birmingham/Mitchum/Haringey.
