The Berger blanc information site ,is dedicated to the breeders ,Handlers and FCI Breed clubs, who have put a tremendous amount of effort into developing the characteristics necessary for a working and sports dog ,it is still early days , the breed was only prerecognised in 2003 ,but this year 2010 a number of race clubs have organized club matches
For the novice or the person wishing to participate in one of these sports , looking at the various club homepages it all seems a little confusing
We have decided to give a brief explanation of terms used and develop a ranking system for dogs competing in the club matches, In countries where there is no recognized Race club, results will be listed provided adequate documentation is provided
In most cases before being able to compete dogs have to pass an aptitude test in thier chosen discipline ,Once they have passed this test the dog starts at level 1,and then Level 2 and onto level 3 which is the highest
There are a number of different disciplines but this site is only concerned with those of the club matches ,
All the official results of the club match are listed, we have taken those results and developed a point system and the dogs are then ranked accordingly regardless of discipline
Dogs that finish in 1 st place recieve 25 points ,2nd recieve 20 points,3rd recieve 15points 4th recieve10 points and 5 points for all other placings
These points are then added to the points awarded for the level the dog is competing in
LEVEL 3 Recieves 20 points Level 2 Recieves 10 points ,Level 1 5 points
The dogs are then ranked accordingly
Breeders who have dogs listed in the club matches may announce planned litters and stud dogs on this site it is exclusively for those who have bred these dogs Please contact us
If you wish to buy a dog with proven ability and participate in a sport we recommend you support the clubs and breeders that have worked so hard in developing the character and temprement of the dogs competing in these club matchs
