ABOUT
When Camille shows up for her first day working as a barista, she finds she doesn't have a lot in common with her naive coworker, Ramon--until they discover a mutual fascination with famous serial killer couples. To get themselves through the tedious workday, the baristas share their favorite stories of history's most vicious paramours...and slowly begin to fall in love. But can their vanilla latte romance compare to the passions of cold-blooded killers?
BARISTAS is a robust blend of comedy, horror, and poetry topped with a dash of romance. This a play for people who find love terrifying, who find terror absolutely hilarious, and who have ever thought it might be kind of cool to be a serial killer.
The entire BARISTAS team is made up of Northwestern University students and recent alumni, making BARISTAS the youngest team in the 2010 New York International Fringe Festival--but age is just a number! Award-winning BARISTAS asks New Yorkers to laugh, scream, and question if love can survive in our stainless-steel, over-scheduled modern world.
