Lush Entertainment Inc. is a film and television production company. Our first production The Pellatt Newsreel was nominated for a 2009 Gemini for Best Biography Documentary by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television. The film about the life story of Sir Henry Pellatt can be seen on Bio (formerly the Biography Channel) and at Casa Loma in Toronto, Canada.
Lush has several projects in development including Farah's Daughters, a dramatic feature film about the adventure of two sisters who run away from home and defy Egyptian family tradition, Hollyworld, a feature-length documentary about the global domination of the world's favourite movie-making capital and Shut Up and Clean, a feature-length documentary about the dirty business of the global nanny trade.
Lush is headed by producing partners Barbra Cooper and Michael Leclair.
Barbra is a writer, producer and director who completed her MBA at McMaster and worked in Independent Production at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for before founding Lush Entertainment.
Michael is a producer with an MBA from Dalhousie University and oodles of production experience. He worked on over 100 productions at the Ceeb's Toronto Production Centre before joining Barbra in the private sector.
