The Streatham Bruins 2010/11
The return of the Streatham Bruins for their second season back, continues an exciting new chapter in the history of the Streatham Ice Hockey Club. After tight age restrictions imposed on the junior hockey system by the EIHA, the Streatham Ice Hockey Club decided to re-launch the Streatham Bruins as a youth development team with the aim of bridging the gap between junior and senior hockey at Streatham.
The aim of the team is to incorporate junior players along with a selection of ex Redskins and experienced senior players to compete in the ENL English Division 2. The core of the team comprises of exciting new talent from the ranks of the junior club. Players aged between 16-18, who will be given the chance to compete for the first time at senior level in the hope that these potential Redskins at some time in the not so distant future might also have the honour of donning the uniform of the Streatham Redskins.
It is a vital part of the future success of the club that we retain many of these young players in an attempt to bolster the pool of potential players in the top flight club at the High Road.
We hope that you will come along and support these stars of the future and wish the team every success in their second season back on the British Ice hockey scene.
