Overview Baby Girl Inc. is (a IRS recognized 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization) an afterschool program offering charm, etiquette and abstinence training for pre-pubesence girls, providing the guidance and nurturing required to redirect risk-taking behavior, build self-esteem and fortify character in young ladies.Mission: Baby Girl Inc. fosters of the following principles:Commitment: To promote health & hygiene, strong study skills, strong interpersonal skills, and reassert a sense of hope in the future.Responsibility: To empower girls in establishing goals and following through on commitments.Possibility: To expand the perspective of girls to make them aware of life's possibilities.Support: An individual is dramatically influenced by their support system. Baby Girl Inc. wants to surround girls in a caring, inclusive learning environment.Ensuring that they are Pampered & Prepared for their future!Reality: More than 350,000 Harris County children do not have access to an after-school program. Kids need safe, stimulating places to go after school, but working parents with extended commutes leave thousands of Houstons young people unsupervised each day. A lack of meaningful adult supervision increases poor grades, truancy, risk-taking behavior and substance abuse (CASE ) Lack of supervision has been associated with earlier onset of adolescent sexual behavior (Beginning Too Soon pg.1 par3) . Teens who do not participate in afterschool programs are nearly three times more likely to skip classes than teens who do participate. They are also three times more likely to use marijuana or other drugs, and are more likely to drink, smoke and engage in sexual activity (3PM) . Sarah Brown, who leads the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy say, "For the first time, there is strong evidence that an abstinence-only intervention can help very young teens delay sex (Washington Post 2010)." Baby Girl Inc. is a program which uses these evidence-based approaches to address teen pregnancy, how to make healthy choices about peer pressure, drugs and drinking.

They need people that can teach them what a relationship is, teaching them effective ways to deal with all their relationships. They need people that can offer them effective techniques to manage their body changes, schoolwork, home work, and social lives. Tameka S. WhitePresidentUniversity of Houston Houston Community CollegeBA in Public Relations, AA in Business Administration, Certified Wait Trainer, Certified Body Works Trainer, Noted Poet, Decorated Toastmaster and Licensed Cosmetologist. Tameka White began working at the tender age of 14 as a customer services representative. During her junior and senior year of high school she earned a license in cosmetology and worked several and attended college. She became a mother during her senior year of college; shortly after she continued her career in the beauty industry as a regional manager of three Supercuts beauty salons as a single mother. She knows a few things about decision making, stalled progress this drives her determination in mentoring girls and younger women through his program of solid information and strategies that will assist them in avoiding the not so obvious pitfalls. She has 3 years of experience as a teachers aide, earning high marks from her peers and supervisors. She has more than 7 years of experience as a Public Relations professional with a diverse background in: building relationships, generating awareness, implementing and executing marketing plans, coordination grand-openings for non-profit organizations and local artists. Over seven years of recognized ability communicating coherently with diverse groups and individuals, highly adept at prompt delivery of quality products, specializing in the utilization of creative techniques to provide cost effective solutions.

Elesha WhiteNorthwood University B.B.A., Marketing, Business Management. Elesha White holds a BBA in Marketing, Business Management. She joins the efforts of Baby Girl Inc with interest and experience in Self- Development and Improvement, Blogging, Creative Writing, Sales, and Promotions. Elesha is a devoted member of Lakewood Church headed by Pastor Joel Osteen. She gladly engages in the battle for our young girls because of the absence and great need for programs such as this. She believes that one moment, one decision can change and shape a person's life forever, hopefully Baby Girl is that moment for thousands of girls.

Pamela ShawB.B.A. Business Administration, Former member Fort Bend ISD Curriculum Audit Committee. Shaw has instructed an array Business Technology courses including Beginning and Intermediate Computer Applications; Beginning and Intermediate Keyboarding; Desktop Publishing; Workforce Development and Critical Thinking. Pam is a proud mother and advocate for her students. Pam is also the proud mother of two.

Sarah McQueenSam Houston State UniversityB.F.A. Fine Arts, Recent Grad, Former campus caller for Sam Houston University McQueen is knowledgeable about fund-raiser. Sarah also has our years of sales experience. She is currently in the process of enrolling in law school. She joined Baby Girl Inc. In the hopes of making a difference in the lives of young girls by giving them the tools they need to succeed to navigate through this part of their lives.

Lauretta MaidenLauretta Maiden has more than 35 years of CPA experience. She is the mother of two that decided to go into business for herself in 1989. Highly respected in the community Lauretta provides desktop publishing and accounting services for more that 250 devoted clients. She is a active member of her church community. As an accountant her has been responsible for the financial records, making sure the appropriate taxes are paid by federal and state deadlines, oversee efficient use of funds and related tasks for several businesses in the North Houston area.
Wanda WalkerHouston Community CollegeAAS, Culinary Arts, Former Executive Chief/Owner of Fillet of Soul Recreant Wanda Walker has 10 years experience with food and nutrition where she supervised 7 employees. She also has 17 years of experience as a licensed cosmetologist and salon owner. She is the proud mother of two children.

Debutant & Gentlemen Training (Boys & Girls)Ages 13-164:00-6:00 pmCan your teen relate platonically, socially, romantically? Research shows that our children are extremely out of the loop. Wait Training has been 75% effective at helping our youth delay sexual experimentation by teaching them how to build healthy relationships with peers, parents and partners. At the end of the training session, each participant that meet requirements participates in a ball styled graduattion.

Open House for Baby Girl Inc.s New Home

Houston, September 27, 2011 Baby Girl Inc. secures a partnership and a home for its program through the Texans Together apartments as communities, the open house will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2011 from 6:00pm 8:00pm at 6700 Dairy Ashford Houston, TX 77082.This is just the beginning. says Tameka White, the organizations founder. We have been holding chats and journaling sessions here and there since 2006. It feels great to now have a site that will service the community. We hope that this partnership with Texans Together will open up more opportunities for the spread of the program. White continues.

Zaji Kali our teen spokes model has just received the news that she is ranked in the top 6% of her class. Hasting High school's 2013 class currently has 920 students. She is the student on the IV level of French. Her GPA is 3.76.For fun Zaji Kali is a YouTube makeup artist where she is receiving national recognition. As Elle Magazines's Cover Girl March Make-up Guru Zaji is truly raising the bar.Please help me congratulate Zaji Kali on her current success and wish her well on her upcoming visit with Elle Magazine in New York!
