AYSO Region 1161 was the proud recipient of the AYSO Platinum Region Award for the 2010 Playing Year. This award was given on successes the region had throughout the MY2010 Season and is based on several different criteria items being met. Such items as Training, Programs offered, Growth both Player and Volunteer, Compliance with the National Program and others. This level was not only achievied by the Board, but also by all the volunteers within the organization. Because without all volunteers, the region would not succeed. We the Board of Region 1161 would like give a big "THANK YOU" to all of our volunteers.
AYSO Region 1161 is also offering a U04 program again this Spring. This division is for players who are currently 3 years of age. We will run a "Jamboree" style program that will meet on Saturday Mornings at 11:00 am for 45 min to 1 hour. Parents will be actively involved in the running of this program. As part of the AYSO EXTRA program, we are
proud to offer kids a chance to expand their
soccer experience, and engage in Club play,
but without all the high cost of club sports
participation.
This program allows kids in U 12 division
to have a 'second season' of club play,
while maintaining the AYSO core philosophies.
Kids in this program (limited to 14 players),
will participate in their regular AYSO activities,
and have an additional practice and game per
week. These games are played with the WMSL
(Western Missouri Soccer League), at their fields.
We are currently looking for coaches for
this division, and will handle the practices and
games. We would like to have a team ready for the Spring 2012 playing season.
