Jennie Rogers Cole/Marcella Cole Burton Scholarship
By Rebecca Olson, Scholarship Chair
The Iota Iota Scholarship committee met in May 2011 to determine the recipient of the 2011-2012 JRC/MCB Scholarship; while applications were fewer this year than in years’ past the quality of the candidates was exceptional.
Per our agreement, with the University of Washington Foundation; the amount that we can award varies from year to year and is set by the Foundation. This year, the committee decided to award 1 scholarship in the amount of $4000 to Annica Carlson.
Annica is currently a senior majoring in Biology and has held several positions in Rho chapter, including VP-CRS, Parents’ Club liaison and informal recruitment chair. While VP-CRS, she was awarded class officer of the year from Panhellenic and IFC. She also spends time volunteering at the Arboretum and Children’s Hospital. The committee would like to thank all who applied for the scholarship. Information regarding the 2012-13 scholarship will be announced in early 2012.
A donation to the JRC/MCB Endowed Scholarship is a great way to celebrate and honor your Alpha Chi Omega sisters.
