Did you know that Alpha Chi Omega was the first sorority to require that each chapter have an alumnae advisor?
Did you know that each Alpha Chi Omega chapter has over ten executive board officers that need your support?
Did you know that each chapter relies on dozens of volunteers to help support a variety of chapter operations?
It takes a village, and northwest Alpha Chi Omega chapters need villagers!
Every year, I have the sincere privilege of watching a new class of seniors graduate college and enter a new
chapter of their lives. Each year, I am so grateful that these members have allowed me to be a part of their Alpha
Chi Omega experience; that I have had the opportunity to help shape the future of our sisterhood.
In the Pacific Northwest, we have seven outstanding chapters at some of the most prestigious universities in the
country: Univ. of Washington (Rho Chapter), Oregon State (Chi Chapter), Washington State (Omega Chapter),
Univ. of Oregon (Alpha Kappa Chapter), Willamette Univ. (Beta Chi Chapter), Portland State (Delta Omicron
Chapter), and Boise State (Epsilon Nu Chapter). Currently, each of these chapters has a devoted Chapter Advisor,
volunteering her time behind-the-scenes to help guide and support our young women in achieving the heights.
There is, however, always more work to be done. These dedicated advisors need your help in supporting the
many goals of each chapter. As Alpha Chi Omega continues at the forefront of changing-world of sorority life, we
need talents and expertise that span a wide range of skills. No longer do we only need people to help fill water
glasses for recruitment, Alpha Chi Omega is committed to helping our young members learn the many skills they'll
need in our dynamic world. . From recruitment and finance, to new member education and risk management.
We need volunteers to help in balancing budgets, facilities management, event planning, staff and employment
oversight, development opportunities, and the many other sills that we hope to see in every Alpha Chi Omega as
they head off into the "real world."
If you are interested in working with our fabulous collegiate members and helping to shape the Alpha Chi Omega
of tomorrow, please contact me. With technology on our side, we also have many advisors who support chapters
at a distance.
