Dear Alpha Chi Sisters,
For those of you I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting, my name is Vicki DeLaurenti. I pledged Alpha Chi Omega (Rho Chapter) at the UW in 1978. In addition to being the Iota Iota Treasurer for the past 15 years, I previously spent time on both the Rho Advisory and House Corporation Boards. I am now very honored to be taking on the role of Iota Iota Alumnae President.
I would like to start off by thanking outgoing President Michelle Hawes, a wonderful friend, confidant and sister. Her focus and devotion are contagious and her tireless energy given to Iota Iota as President the past 5 ½ years is greatly appreciated. I am also indebted to Michelle Mattoon, who has graciously accepted the Treasurer’s position. Both of these outstanding ladies serve multiple roles in our organization and truly exemplify Alpha Chi Omega’s commitment to being Real. Strong. Women.
Our alumnae chapter is in a strong position going forward thanks to Iota Iota’s talented and dedicated Board including VP Fraternity Relations Rebecca Olson, VP Community Relations Amanda Foley, Secretary Cathy Kim and Database Administrator/Publications Editor Sharon Clarke. We are also fortunate to have both the northwest’s Province Alumnae (Rebecca Olson) and Province Collegiate (Kelli Currie) Chairpersons as members of Iota Iota. And please join me in welcoming to the Board, Michelle Strub. She has been heavily involved behind the scenes for most of the past year, helping us relate to the undergraduates, reaching out to our alumnae sisters and transitioning us into new millennium. Michelle will officially join the Board as Website Administrator.
We have a great opportunity to build upon the recently successful and inspirational Rho Centennial celebration. I encourage everyone to join the fun. Stay involved or get reconnected by volunteering on a board or committee and/or attending an upcoming event. And If you haven’t already, please consider supporting Iota Iota financially. Your $30 dues will keep you connected and up-to-date on local alumnae events and collegiate endeavors as well as help support local programming, membership communications, philanthropic efforts, collegiate support, Seattle Alumnae Panhellenic and Alpha Chi Omega headquarters. Eastside Domestic Violence Volunteer Opportunities
The need for EDV services has increased along with community awareness. As EDV look's to the future their goals include youth education, expanded housing options and more legal services for victims, as well as strengthening their infrastructure to ensure the stability of their organization. EDV invite's--and needs--your support as they continue their work to end domestic violence.

If you haven't yet renewed your membership for the 2011-2012 year, it's not too late. Iota Iota offers several options for membership. Network with other alumnae sisters! Membership in Iota Iota will keep you connected and up-to-date on local alumnae events and collegiate endeavors. The minimal membership dues support local programming, membership communications, philanthropic efforts, collegiate support, Seattle Alumnae Panhellenic and Alpha Chi Omega headquarters.
