About Us
We are American University's chapter of Public Realtions Student Society of America. We work along with our local PRSA chapter to provide members with the skills and network needed to launch a career in Public Relations.
Members are invited to all our events, PRSSA events at other schools in the area and have an open invite to PRSA chapter events, special workshops, tours of news agencies, and much more.
Interviews: You can request to receive an email copy of PR Issues and Trends, a daily news monitoring service brought to you by the PRSA. Professionals read this too. Bringing up an industry trend, advocacy issue or other topic impacting the profession can really impress your potential boss during an interview.
Networking: Also, you'll receive access to the PRSA JobCenter online for when personal connections at PRSSA events are not enough or you're looking for a job or internship not in the immediate DC metro area. PRSSA members can search an online database for internship opportunities around the nation.
Eligible for Scholarships: As a member, you are invited to participate competitions and apply for scholarships including a $20,000 scholarship.
