Bio
Arielle Rosales is a New York based Actress, Dancer, Choreographer and Teacher. A native New Yorker, Arielle began her Flamenco studies at the age of five, under the late Andrea del Conte, who would later function as her mentor for over a decade. In 2002, she received a full scholarship to attend the Flamenco Institute of Maria Benitez in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she trained with masters Mario Maya and Maria Benitez. She has since studied in Madrid, Spain at the legendary Amor de Dios dance studio with Inmaculada Ortega, Antonio Reyes, and La China, among others, and continues her Flamenco studies in the U.S. and Spain. Along with Flamenco, Arielle has trained in other dance styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, salsa, modern (Limón Technique), contemporary, theatre dance, body percussion and hip hop, and regularly trains at STEPS on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center. Arielle is currently a member of several dance companies in New York and Chicago, including Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana and R.Evolucióon Latina. She has had the opportunity to perform throughout the U.S. and U.K., including venues such as Carnegie Hall and The Joyce Theatre. She has been featured on The Today Show and NPR. In 2007, Arielle showcased her choreography debut at RHYTHMS, an eyeBLINK Entertainment Production. In 2009, she stepped in for her beloved teacher, Andrea del Conte, as teacher/choreographer/director for the 2009 Annual Studio Showcase of Lotus Music & Dance. Arielle is now the Artistic Director of her own dance company, JuxtapOlé (www.juxtapole.com). Along with dance, Arielle works as an Actress in NYC. A recent graduate of The American Musical & Dramatic Academy, where she received training in Musical Theatre, Arielle has been featured in various commercials, including Nokia, Target, and MTV. She recently wrapped on the feature film "True to the Heart" (www.TruetotheHeart.com), directed by Mitchell Kase and produced by Epiphany Storm Productions, for which she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for the Long Island International Film Expo. Arielle is currently a member of the sketch comedy group, Ay Que Funny (www.ayquefunny.com), now in their 3rd Season, with whom she performed at the National Comedy Theatre. She has studied Improv at The People's Improv Theatre and The Upright Citizens Brigade. Aside from performing, one of Arielle's passions in life is teaching, which she had the privilege of experiencing at an early age; having completed a Teacher's in Training program and working as the assistant to Andrea del Conte for over 5 years, during which time she taught at Hudson Guild and The Lower East Side Girls Club. Arielle is currently on the faculty of Lotus Music & Dance Studios, The JM Rapport School, and STEPS on Broadway and has been a Guest Artist at Broadway Dance Center, Peridance Capezio Center, and Ballet Hispanico. She teaches in-school residencies regularly with Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana and Andrea del Conte Danza España.
