Artist Bio and Statement:
I explore the tension between precise line work against a broad open expression of glass color and form. I try to highlight interstitial space within the sandwich of cast layers of glass to create a sense of captured movement. I study opportunities offered in the fluid stage of glass at high heat. It creates for me a sense that the cooled piece becomes a relic of itself.
