The Amazon
The Amazon is a river that runs through Colombia Venezuela ,Ecuador, Guyana, Bolivia and Peru .Its lenght is 6,400 km approximately .The Amazon originates from the Apacheta cliff in Arequipa at the Nevado Mismi in peru, its mouth end in a delta in the coast of brazil.there are more than 1,000 tributaries in the Amazon 17 of them are actually over 1000km long.People that live close to the river use the river to fish for fish, to growcrops,to feed animals, to bath,to wash clothes,to take cargo, and of course to have fun by swimming,rowing and other water sports.The amazon is the bigesst river in the world.
The Elbe
The Elbe is a river that flows through Czech Republic, Germany, Austria and Poland. The source is in Mountains between Czech Rpublic and Poland, however the mouth of the river is in Germany.The largest parts are in 1. Germany 2. Czech Republic 3. Austria 4. Poland. Some tributaries include: The Weisse (‘White’) Elster, the Unstrut, and the Ilm together with many more. The Elbe has an ox-bow lake which is called Alte(old) Elbe.Humans normally use the Elbe for: harbours and ferries, there is also a tunnel under the Elbe which has become so popular that it is a tourist attraction. The Elbe is one of the major rivers in Central Europe.
