Ao is a make up artist, stylist, photographer, henna artist, first Threading (Khite/Fatlah) specialist in northern Maine, dance director, and instructor.
In beauty - The union of music and art has always been a great influence on her inspirations. The goal and the passion is not to create beauty, but to recognize it in it's original form and work to bring it out for others to see. In Make up, this means embelishing on the beauty that is in all of us, In photography this means seeing life through a prism and letting that shine through in pictures.
In dance - Music and dance have been at the core of her life from a very young age. As an adult her love for dance spilled into Raqs Sharki, and eventually bonded with the styles of her background creating the skills she has as a dance performer instructor and director of Haus of Paradigm: The Shanghai Dance Theater
Ao longs to see people feel as passionately as she does about themselves and the world around them. Life is precious, beautiful, joyful and tragic. Experience it and embrace it and it will bring meaning and maybe even some understanding.
