Biography
Anna Murray is a prolific singer/songwriter, musician and performer. With a Diploma in the Performing Arts (hons), Anna has peformed at some of the country's most prestigious venues including; The Liverpool Cavern, The Clapham Grand, Water Rats Theatre, Silverstone Grand Prix (1999-2001), Jazz Cafe at the Madjedski Stadium and a series of WAMSAD charity concerts infront of 3000 people with sound production by 'The Who's' team and staging by Pinewood Studios. With live performances on BBC Berks - Introducing and several appearances on Radio Wey's award winning 'Blues sessions'.Anna has worked in many function bands over the years, from a 14 piece soul band to Jazz duo's, both as a lead and backing singer. Her original songwriting has been featured on the BBC and won the 'Demo Panel' competition in 2010 as voted for by the public. Some of her music can be found on iTunes and Spotify under the band name, Sammy Beatnix. Her own album will be released on iTunes early 2012.With a view to keeping herself an active musician on the London scene, Anna is now taking on a wide range of musical endeavours such as backing session work, lead vocal, recording studio sessions and function bands all the while continuing to work on her own original material for publishing houses.
