Apple ECSCP:
Our objective was to first create a group presentation on a concept and create a theme from one of the 5 popular brands chosen for us. The brands were UNE, Haribo, Apple, La Durée, and Rayban.
For the final project, we were able to choose a brand to work off of in order to create a collection. My partner Eun Ji and I decided on Apple. Our Concept is based off of the design principle of Dieter Rams. Apple's product designer Jonathan Ives borrowed ideas of design and esthetics from Dieter Rams who was the product designer for Braun during the 1950's. From there our theme came from a mix between mid-century design and minimilist architecture. We took the volumes and colors that were popular during the mid-century modernism movement and the ideas of form, function and estethics of minimalist architecture.
The Apple Design Project is a cohesive collection of 40 pieces of clothing, a collection of accessories, prints and a completed emblematic silhouettes for our draping, pattern making, and prêt-à-porter courses

Knit Project ECSCP:
I wanted to design a piece a bit out of the ordinary. Something you wouldn't expect when thinking about sweaters. I decided to combine objects that might be considered dark such as harnesses and spiderwebs then used soft materials like angora and wool in dirty whites to create an interesting dycotomy.
Project K-way ECSCP:
Our objective was to create a collection based on the popular french windbreaker company K-way. The product needed to hold on to some of the ideas of the brand, being waterproof, having the same design details such as elastics, zips, snap buttons, pockets etc..It was a cohesive project involving our collections, draping, pattern-making, prêt-a-porter, textile design and accessory design classes.
My creation has a hidden side pocket, and a hidden back zip underneath the back yolk that reveals the pouch in which the garment folds into. I screen printed the left sleeve with my original bird print. For the accessory part, I designed a transformable handbag that folds into a a little heart pouch. It can be worn as a belt, a necklace, or a headband
Trend Presentation ECSCP:
Our objective was to research a trend. My trend was American Heritage which can be found on multiple fashion blogs, and all over the streets. The trend was inspired by the depression era between the late 30's and early 40's, the Jazz scene, people wanting to support american made products, workwear, durable materials such as denim, coduroy, brass, leather and wool.
Key items include overalls, trousers, jeans, chunky knits, ties, workshirts, oxfords, chunky belts, suspenders, newsboy hats, fedoras, and saddle bags.
