I'd like to say that I was born to write, or even that I always knew I would get published. But that's not true. In my family, my sister was always the writer and I was the artist. I didn't even try writing until I hit my twenties, and I never got more than 2 or 3 pages before I lost interest. Then one day, an idea just came to me. No dream, or inspirational event. Just me sitting down in front of a blank page.
That first day gave me the confidence to keep going beyond those opening pages, until I'd written an entire novel. It is still under revisions, but did place 1st in the Romance category of The Strongest Start Contest 2010.
Songbird is my 2nd novel, and was even more spontaneous. I signed up for NaNoWriMo and this is the story I found. No planning, No clue where I was going with it. Somehow it wasn't garbage and was even a finalist in the Romance category of The Strongest Start Contest 2010.
I live in beatuiful Colorado and, in addition to writing, I work fulltime as a teacher, mother and wife.
