What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural state of mind we all experience where critical thinking is relaxed and attention is very focused. It is relaxing focus on lots of things so that you can increase focus on one thing. Have you ever had a time when you "spaced out" for a bit, had a brilliant idea, and then came back to the room? That was hypnosis. We all experience it everyday naturally. Your subconscious contains ALL your programming, therefore focusing your attention on communication from the subconscious mind allows you to alter programming. This looks like focusing on your body and information you get from it by way of feelings, sensations, and imagery. This open experience of listening to your body intently allows for new possibilities to be accepted. Using me, a highly trained and experienced hypno-guide, to intentionally engage in this process brings you deeply in touch with YOU and your best guidance. That is why it is SO effective for Highly Sensitive Persons. It teaches you how to use your super power AND gives you a direct experience of it.
Here's a little scientific explanation. There are four basic brain wave patterns that you experience in a typical day. Beta brainwaves are experienced during your normal waking state. As you go through a typical sleep cycle, you experience alpha, theta, and delta brainwaves. During hypnosis, you experience both conscious brainwaves (beta), as well as subconscious brainwaves (alpha, theta, and/or delta). Hypnosis is an experience of both being conscious and subconscious, rather than either one or the other. Alpha brainwaves are a lighter subconscious state, theta are deeper, and delta are the deepest. Different levels of trance/brainwaves are beneficial for different purposes. Most therapeutic goals can be accomplished with a light state of trance, which feels like a relaxed waking state.
Because your conscious mind IS active in hypnosis, you can be aware of the everything and talk to me during sessions. This isn't mind control. All people who choose to can be hypnotised intentionally, that includes YOU. Examples of hypnosis you already experience are reading a book or watching a movie. FYI, hypnosis is safe and effective to use with children. You empower yourself when you intentionally use hypnosis. You can accomplish what you choose to, rather than simply reacting to old programming. I address ANY questions that you may have prior to, during, and after your hypnosis experience, so you can feel safe with the process.
