ABOUT US
Andrea Cuomo came to New York at the age of six from Bogotá, Colombia. Raised in Queens, Andrea was exposed to the street art scene and became very involved in its dominant culture. She first began incorporating her talent with graffiti on canvases. Always seeking to perfect her craft she tested out and experimented with different elements and styles. This garnered her recognition and led to her work being showcased on websites and the streets of NYC. After graduating from Fashion Industries High School, followed by F.I.T., she landed an internship with designer Camilla Staerk. After the internship, she worked on a freelance basis and eventually became an integral part of the Staerk team.
In 2008, Andrea met Jacinto Onofre, a fellow colleague at Staerk and quickly discovered they both had so much in common. Sharing similar backgrounds, upbringings, and interests, this helped fortify a tight bond between them. Jacinto, aside from working on production for Camilla Staerk, was also an established fashion stylist working on high-end editorials and ad campaigns. Upon seeing Andreas work, they both decided to enter into a partnership to produce a T-shirt line, utilizing Andrea's artwork as prints.
The collaboration between Andrea and Jacinto has led to the creation of CUZ LOVE KILLZ. A simple yet colorful, urban but chic, stylish casual wear line. The centerpiece of this collection is based on the condemned heart icon, healing from being broken. There are also several other graffiti elements included in this line tying in with the morbid love theme. The fabric is constructed from ultra lightweight cotton that provides comfort and style.
Andrea and Jacinto are very excited to present their S/S 2010 collection and are looking to forward to continuing C.L.K.s development for future collections.
