Best in the 'Burgh is known for showcasing the finest singer/songwriters in the city...
now is the chance for the bands to take the spotlight!
The heat is on this summer for 16 local bands to prove they have what it takes as they compete in four semi-final rounds June 14, 28, July 12, 26 at d'Vine Wine Bar in Wexford, PA.
The competition will culminate on Sunday, August 2, 2009 when the four top bands vie for the title of Best Band in the 'Burgh. Bands will be judged on originality, musicality, songwriting, stage presence and crowd appeal by a panel of local industry representatives not directly affiliated with Best in the 'Burgh.
The mission of the event is to provide bands with the tools to succeed as professional musicians. The winning band will receive a prize package valued at over $2,000. We want to make it clear that this will cost you NOTHING to enter and you will be judged on your talents, not how many fans/friends you have.
