Andrew Pelletier has been writing and composing music from a young age. He began writing songs when he was 11 and continues to be a competitive songwriter in Chicago. Andrew studied percussion with Glenn Kotche (Wilco), and piano with his father, Robert Kotche, throughout his childhood and adolescence. He got accepted into the University of Iowa music program, where he studied composition and education and transferred to Columbia College Chicago where he recieved his Bachelors in music composition and guitar performance in 2008.
Andrew has a wonderful ear for melody and a tastefulness for arrangement that you can hear on the Music page. He is an extremely versatile musician and can write for almost any musical style or project. He has a passion for pop and rock accompaniment and his work aspires to stay traditional but revelvent, modern but accessible, catchy but ambiguous, beautiful but heartbreaking.
Drawing on the pop composition influeneces of Jon Brion, Van Dyke Parks, George Martin, and Brian Wilson, Andrew Pelletier uses popular sensibilities with traditional instruments, taking your music to a higher artistic level.
Andrew has access to a camp of educated and talented musicians for your project as well. All instruments included! He is also fluent in Sibelius, which is the program he uses to compose.
