Amir Ebrahimi's career has wound through paths of photography, film-making, Set Design, Directing and back to photography.
Born in San Francisco to an Iranian father and El Salvadorian mother Amir comes from a family of rich culture. As English was at times the 3rd language in the Ebrahimi household, Amir became a very visual individual at a young age.
Amir studied film making at the Art Instituted of San Francisco, then at Brooklyn College in New York. After a series of short films and Documentaries Amir stumbled into Set Design for some of the biggest photographers in the industry such as Steven Meisel, Mario Sorrenti , Mario Testino and Steven Klien to name a few. Amir also worked on location in Mexico for the film Nacho Libre along side famed Designer Gideon Ponte.
All these experiences drove Amir Ebrahimi back to his passion for photography. After a 2006 trip to Cambodia to document Orphans in Phnom Phen, Amir focused his creative attention to Photography.
In the Fall of 2009 Amir Ebrahimi started Metric Nine Productions (metricnine.com) to facilitate his Art Directing and Design talents, which includes clients such as Nike, Paramount Pictures, Nintendo, Cointreau, Mark Ecko, Def Jam, Jay Z, and Belvedere Vodka.
.Amir's portrait and fashion photography is able to capture the soul behind the outer beauty, and his documentary work is truthfully beautiful. Amir's photography has a story telling ability that expresses his passion for motion picture.
