This section contains information about what the artist will and won't provide, your responsibilities, policies, etc. Please do not hesitate to contact the artist if you have more questions or need clarification.
Artist will bring complete set up of tables, chairs, products, and supplies. Artist will arrive at least fifteen mintues early and be set up to start services at contracted time. If for any reason artist is late, artist will still provide services for the contracted time or refund money at a prorated amount.
Overtime: Any time requested beyond the time booked will be prorated based on a cost of hourly rate, to the nearest half hour.
Henna : Henna stains. Once applied, it generally needs an hour to dry. If you brush up against something, it takes a great deal of work to remove the stain. After that flakes will fall off that can stain upholstery, sheets, clothes, etc. Artist is not held liable for contact and staining of henna on anything after it is applied.
Payments: Payments can be made by credit card over the phone, Paypal (artshowreject AT gmail.com), checks, or cash. Credit cards and Paypal are forms of pre-payment, checks and cash are acceptable to pay on day of event. Please make checks out to Amber Marie Studios. There will be $30.00 fee for returned checks, plus the amount of the check.
Deposits: Events that are more than $200 (two hundred) for services will require a a 50% (fifty percent) deposit at time of booking and contract.
Cancellations / Refunds / Reschedule: Should you need to reschedule your event, please do so at least 7 (sevent) days prior and we will make every effort to meet your needs. If you need to cancel the event, you must cancel more than 3 (three) days before the event. If canceled within 3 (three) days of the event, then 1/2 (half) of the contracted amount is due immediately. We do not offer refunds for inclement weather so please secure an alternate indoor location for your event in advance. Should the Artist get sick/ have to cancel, we will find a replacement Artist.
Limitations On Artwork: If in public, artists will not paint on any part of the body that is not legal to expose or anyplace she does not feel comfortable painting. In addition, Artists will not paint subject matter she deems offensive or disturbing.
Photography: Artist gives the right to event planners, managers, hosts, guests, etc. to photograph and document artist and/or designs for the purpose of online sharing and publication as long as artist is credited.
Model Release: Pictures that artist requests to take are assumed released to artist to put in portfolio, including online. This may show up on artists' other sites such as: Facebook, blogspot, etc.
Extreme Adverse Working Conditions: Artist has the right to cease painting and leave without refunding any monies if there are extreme adverse working conditions and the Client fails to remedy the situation after it has been brought to the Client’s attention. Adverse conditions included but not limited to: destructive, violent, or extreme inappropriate behavior of a child, pet or adult; illegal activities; or otherwise dangerous conditions.
Liability Statement: While we use ONLY approved cosmetic grade face painting supplies, Artist is not liable for allergic reactions to paints. People with skin allergies or sensitive skin should either not participate, or have Artist perform a patch test at the beginning of the party. Client understands that darker face paints will linger and must be removed with mild soap, water and washcloth. For safety reasons, artists will not paint anyone who is unwilling. For sanitary reasons, Artists will not paint anyone who is or appears to the Artist to be sick or suffering from cold sores, conjunctivitis, ringworm, sunburn, eczema, any infectious skin condition or open wounds. These determinations are at the Artist’s discretion. Artists will use reasonable care, but is not responsible for damage to clothing or property. The Client agrees to pay for any accidents or injuries caused by pets or guests, and/or any damage to Artist’s equipment or supplies caused by pets, lawn sprinklers, or guests. Under no circumstances will Artists supervise children. Their behavior and safety is the Client’s and/or Parents’ responsibility.
