AboutÁlvaro M. Rocha's enhanced" versions, released in 2003, were remastered from the original mono single track sources to recreate an artificial - although realistic - stereo field. The files portray the opening concert that was played before 18 thousand people at Beijing on Oct. 21st 1981.Jean Michel Jarre performed two concerts at Beijing in 1981, with 18 and 20 thousand viewers respectively, and three more in Shangai, also in 1981, the later with 60 thousand viewers each. Álvaro M. Rocha tried the best compromise between the single track mono source (Original) and a final good audio product (Remaster in artificial stereo). All themes were enhanced without adding a single thing, only audio effects (stereo recreation and spectral balance), thus just treating audio to make it more similar to that of the official album "Concerts in China". Hence Álvaro M. Rocha tried to follow Jean Michel Jarre's & Michel Geiss's spatial audio engineering, so that you now may have a warm, spatious, stereo, exotic and professional'ish (whatever was possible from the mono broadcast single track files) sound.Enjoy.
