The Little Farm that could.
ALPACAboose Farm is a small alpaca farm in Oxford, Connectiucut with a big heart and big things growing in our future. After agisting for over 2 years, we have finally brought our four girls home. We have a great founation herd and are ready to help others hop on board the Alpaca lifestyle train.
Starting out slow and steady, we continue to grow and learn about the wonderful world of Alpacas. Rose and Jennifer are learning new possibilites for our fine alpaca fiber. Ron has joined up with Fred Hill and will be shearing for local Alpaca farms. Ronnie has taken on the task of composting the Alpaca poo and is making it into Alpaca gold for local gardeners.
All this keeps us busy but we are happy with the new lifestyle we have chosen.
If you are ever in our area, please give us a call and we will be happy to show you our small but productive farm. After all, small farms CAN do BIG things.
East-Hill Shearing
Ron East and Fred Hill have teamed up this year to do alpaca shearing. Both, Ron and Fred are alpaca breeders who take great pride in their animals and their work. Ron and Fred know how important a good shearer is to the alpaca breeder and to the welfare of each animal. After all they were trained by the best - Matt Best, that is.
Ron and Fred offer shearing services as well as teeth and nail trimming.
