There is a book drop outside of the library for students to turn in books before and after hours.
The CHMS librarian is Maray Myers. She transferred from Center Hill High when the middle school opened in August 2009. Miss Myers has a B.S. degree in elementary education from Mississippi State University and a Master's of Library Science and Information from the University of Southern Mississippi. She has eight years experience in the educational system, four of them as a librarian in DeSoto County Schools. Miss Myers lives in the Olive Branch community and is actively involved in local youth programs.

CHMS Reading Fair CHMS 2011-2012 Reading Fair
The 2011-2012 CHMS Reading Fair was held on December 1st in the school's library. There were over 30 non-fiction project boards in the competition. Five professionals from our DeSoto community volunteered there time to judge the projects. These judges were: Mike Moore (Company Vice President), Will Fava (Lawyer), Leigh Anne Boyd (Real Estate), Tania Grarred (CHHS Librarian), and Carrie Curran (OBMS Librarian).
The winner of the CHMS Reading fair were: 1st place non-fiction Annalee Droke, 2nd place non-fiction Becca Matthews, 3rd place non-fiction Flannery Egner. Fiction 1st place went to Samantha Weinberg and 2nd place to Nicholas Tyge.
The DeSoto County Schools Reading Fair was held on January 13th in Hernando at the District Office. Annalee Droke's project board on Everyday Life in Roman Times by Mike Corbishely won 1st place. She will take her project and represent DeSoto County Schools at the Region Reading Fair in Oxford, MS in February 2012
