Ally Irwin-Conn is a freelance choreographer and judge that specializes in show choir choreography. She has choreographed various show choirs since her graduation from Teays Valley High School in 2005. Her past experience includes high school mixed and women's as well as middle school groups.
As a choreographer and assistant choreographer Ally has won several awards including, Overall Grand Champion, Best Choreograpy, and Best Show Concept.
Ally has trained under well known show choir professionals, including Andy Haines, and knows what it takes to "wow" the show choir world.
Ally prides herself in not being a generic choreographer. By focusing on your individual groups strengths and weaknesses, your students will learn dance skills that will build confidence and will take them to the next level.
Ally has been involved with show choir for almost ten years. Her career began at Teays Valley High School in Ashville, Ohio, where she was a member of the award winning group, Prominent Rendition. During her four years in Prominent Rendition, the group won 17 grand championships and19 best choreography awards. Her senior year, the group went undefeated and won every choreography caption award.
While in show choir, Ally won four outstanding performer awards, which is the record at Teays Valley, and was a two year dance captain. Following graduation Ally attended Ball State University in Muncy, Indiana before becoming a freelance choreographer.
Since 2007, Ally has served as the Assistant Choreographer at Teays Valley High School, under the well-known choreographer, Andy Haines. At TVHS, Ally has cleaned and created choreography as well as assisted in show design and devlopment.
Besides Teays Valley High School, Ally has choreographed several other choirs throughout Ohio. Though she specializes in jazz, broadway, and hip-hop, Ally enjoys choreographing any genre of song for any level or type of show choir.
Ally currently lives in Circleville, Ohio with her husband Josh, daughter Cadance, and son Kyan. She is excited for the upcoming season and to take your choir to the next level!
