I absolutely love weddings.
I love the intricate details it involves: the planning, preparation, the elaborate mix of colours and styles.
I'm a softie for romance (and chick flicks), I love capturing the mere gaze the groom gives, a small curve at the edge of his lips as he catches a glance of his soon-to-be-wife entering the church, he raises his eyebrows and his smile grows as she walks down the aisle, seeing her in her beautiful white gown, flawless, perfect. I love the exchange of looks they share when the priest announced them husband and wife, the exchange of grins, how they give each other's hand a squeeze, the gaze they share with each other before their kiss, how they're the only people in the room when they share their first dance.
Watching two persons take the next step together, vowing a promise to always be together, the whole day never seems like work, only an experience, an opportunity shared to capture a moment, a personal story when two people give each other their hearts and share one life together. It's a beautiful experience, really, and that's why I love my job.
