Raymond Bevilacqua was born in the Emerald City of Seattle (1954) in Washington State located on the west coast of the United States. He graduated from Central Washington University with two Bachelors Degrees in Spanish Language Teaching and Mathematics, and began teaching in 1995. At the beginning of the new millennium he moved to Madrid in order to complete his Masters Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language at Universidad Complutense de Madrid . His Masters Thesis was a comparative study of American English and Castilian Spanish phonetics. He has been living in Madrid ever since he completed his Masters in 2001.
Raymond is author of three books titled " TALK-LISTEN-SPEAK: Functional & Situational Usage of English ", " Aprende a pronunciar inglés de una vez y para siempre " (volumes 1 y 2), and his Masters Thesis "¿Cómo enseñar la fonética castellana a los anglohablantes?".
Raymond is enjoying his own self-made business called ENGLISH with RAYMOND © as an English Language Consultant, Public Speaker and Teacher. He has a very impressive list of students in Madrid , some of whom have been working with him now for more than seven years.
Raymond has written an exhaustive amount of classroom exercises and materials that he has been using for over 12 years. He employs many of his personal and professional experiences while living in the U.S. and in Spain in his classrooms.
His long list of remarkable accomplishments outside of Spain include working as a software engineer at the Boeing Company , university credentials evaluator, probate estate administrator, commercial real estate appraiser, Mathematics and Spanish Language teacher, produce department manager, and restaurant cook.
