About Me
"When I say I want to photograph someone, what it really means is that I'd like to know them. Anyone I know I photograph." - Annie Leibovitz
I see hundreds of different people in this city every day, each individual speaks to me in different ways, but a few stand out from the rest. The people I choose to photograph are all unique individuals that I would like to connect with at some point in time. Photography to me isn’t just about clicking a button and capturing that person’s presence or personality. I take photos of people because I want to get to know them as a person.
Growing up art has always been a huge part of my life along with music. I’ve always loved drawing, design, and got into photography at the beginning of my freshmen year of high school. I started going to shows when I was in junior high and fell in love with the atmosphere of a rock venue and with the passion and emotions of the bands that came with it. It wasn’t until my junior year that I experimented with performance photography. The same things I fell in love with at a show six years ago became the very things I wanted to capture in my photographs.
I’ve made this my life for the past five years and it’s become one of the most important things to me. My work is everything to me and I’m determined to continue making this my life.
