MOMENTS
"Moments is a real page-turner. From the frankly graphic to the deeplu sentimental, ali has collected a veritable encycloprdia of stories" - Time Out Bahrain
"There is such a refreshing flavor of originality in these stories. They engaged the reader from the very first sentence right up to the last. Ali is a master of his craft." - Peter Tomlinson, author of Times of Kadrick
"Ali writes from inside out, forcing the reader under the skin of his charachters to powerful effect." Shay Younglood, author of Soul Kiss.
SAD MAN DANCING
"Al Saeed's words dance across the page fluidly. Drenched in lust, misery, angst and hearache. Casts a light on Al Saeed's extraoridnary honesty." - Time Out Bahrain
"It has a raw appeal. It reads like a transcript of thoughts - insular, internal, and perhaps indulgent. Emotional, but detached. Passionate, but embittered. Loveing, but obsessive." - FACT Bahrain.
"Full of powerful imagery, potent language and emotional ups and downs, each poem promises to speak to you on a level you could never quite reach, or maybe never admitted to." - Bahrain & Beyond.
QUIXOTIQ
"Not only is QuixotiQ a huge achievment as a novel, it is a landmark in Bahraini literature." - Neil Marr, co-author of Bullycide
“Al Saeed is not at all afraid to challenge genre boundaries, jumping from mystery to supernatural to family saga and then back to mainstream. What it makes for in the end is a refreshingly original story.” — Cavan Terril, author of Blurred Line.
“If I were to use one word to describe it, it would be ‘captivating’. I found myself drawn to the book… I couldn’t put it down. The interconnectivity and development of the characters was the strongest factor that made it such a page-turner.” — Beatrix Beczi, journalist.
