My greatest desire is to bring out the beauty, strength, and dignity of any subject matter I illustrate. My compositions encompass personalities and wildlife from around the world. The subjects that capture my attention usually have unique features and expressions that say thousands of words.
I find qualities in each generation that I illustrate that excite me, from the innocence and sincerity of the children, to the energy and drama of the youth, to the great character and wisdom of the older generation.
Though most of my work is illustrated in graphite pencil, I have recently adopted a new medium, illustrating in color using Oil Bar Sticks. This medium has turned out to be just as interesting as my first love medium of graphite pencil.
The size of my original compositions range from 24 x 30 to 40 x 60. All work illustrated in graphite pencil is done on white illustration boards, while work illustrated in oil is done on white canvas boards. Prints of my illustrations are limited editions, and range from 11 x 14 to 22 x 28 and are printed on archival acid free paper.
