M4Kidz is a not-for-profit organization that offers consulting services to youth who are seeking to start their own community service initiative.M4Kidz inspires youth to pursue community service. M4Kidz provides students with the resources they need to create their very own cause. M4Kidz was founded in 2004 under the name: Music 4 Kidz. The focus of Music 4 Kidz was to introduce youth to community service. Specifically, Music 4 Kidz encouraged youth across the county to donate their musical interests to patients in childrens hospitals across the country. When schools took on the Music 4 Kidz project, they encouraged students to donate their favorite song and a dollar. Music 4 Kidz then legally purchased the songs on iTunes, created music CDs, and distributed them to children's hospitals local to the donating school. By 2010, over 200 songs were donated. In addition, students volunteered further by designing album covers for the CDs and helping market the cause and project around their school.In 2010, Music 4 Kidz's founder, Alex Judson started to review and reconstruct Music 4 Kidz. With CDs becoming less used and iPods becoming more popular, Alex began to review his goals and the goals of Music 4 Kidz. Specifically, Alex wanted to best use his talents to introduce others to active community serivice as opposed to fiscal community service. In order to make an even greater impact, Alex reworked Music 4 Kidz and renamed the organization, M4Kidz. M4Kidz now focuses on active community service in a completely different, yet exciting way. Alex is now a sophomore at Dartmouth College.
