Unique African Fashions With a Mission
The reason African Soles exists is reflected in our mission statement: "Empowering refugee widows and orphans" It's short we know but its packed with a lot of heart and passion.
Uganda has been flooded with refugee women who have fled neighbouring countries because of war and natural disasters. A great majority of these women have lost their husbands and some of their children and are seeking refuge in another land. African Soles is partnering with International Teams Canada to try and make a difference in the lives of some of these women and their children.
Since all the profits from African Soles go back to Uganda please remember that you're not just getting a great product, you're making a tangible impact in someone's life.

Raised by a single mother,surrounded by courageous, talented and ethical women, Myrtle grew to value the collective power of women. In 2000 Myrtle married her husband and became an elementary school teacher. Six years later Myrtle started the next, and most important role of her life with the arrival of her first son. Her family grew to include a total of 4 children that keep her busy. The inspiration for this website came from the myriad of talented, passionate, and strong women she calls friends.
Laura's art reflects her vivacious and passionate personality. She creates unique adoption items like her Africa t-shirts. She will even sew a heart over the place your child was born. Her key fobs are another hot selling item that are great as party favours! Laura sews these beautiful items to raise money for her upcoming adoption.
