Tyler English began racing asphalt stock cars at the age of fifteen. His first experience in a stock car was at Florence Motor Speedway in Florence, South Carolina. English's first full season of racing was at Dillon Motor Speedway and Florence Motor Speedway. That season yielded a fourth place finish in the charger division seasonal points. Also, he collected two top five finishes in the two largest charger races of the year. In 2008 English repeated a solid fourth place finish in the season points. A new beginning started in 2009 when English advanced to the late model stock series. He competed at various tracks including Myrtle Beach Speedway, where he acquired a second place finish in just his second start at that speedway. He secured a fifth place finish in the season's points at Dillon Motor Speedway and received the award for Rookie of the Year. At the closing of the 2009 season Tyler competed in the highly competitive UARA series. His plan for 2010 is to run the entire UARA schedule in hopes of achieving Rookie of the Year.

E Motorsports and their driver Tyler English went to test at Dillon Motor Speedway to shake the car down. There they were able to run a few laps and make sure the car was running smoothly. After revamping the car during the off season, the #18 car ran faster lap times than the last UARA race in September 2009. The team then went to test Feb. 20th, 2010 at Hickory Motor Speedway where Tyler got to see the track for the first time. Tyler took to the track well with running a series of good laps. After being very satisfied with the lap times and practice at Hickory, Tyler and his team plan to test there again before the first UARA race on March 13th, 2010.
